Sea Safaris Lanzarote is a small family owned operation, having a combined experience of over 20 years of active involvement on the waters surrounding our lovely island. Lanzarote is unique and is a great example of a volcanic ecosystem which was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1993, thus confirming its strong historic link between man and nature.
We aim to keep our Sea Safari Boat Tours personal and unique, with as little invasion as possible into the world of the cetaceans and other marine life that we may encounter. Our tours also enable us to play our part in keeping the Ocean Clean by collecting all manner of floating debris such as plastic bottles and bags, beach balls air beds, rope etc. With a maximum of 12 passengers on our boat, each Sea Safari Boat Tour is a great learning experience for all ages.
We operate our Sea Safari Boat Tours all year round with daily departures from our base in Puerto Calero Marina at
09.30h and 17.30h
The tours last for approximately 2 hours as we explore the waters of the Atlantic Ocean in search of the varied species of whales and dolphins that reside and migrate through these waters. Our actual passage will depend upon the prevailing weather but will take us within an area of 40 square nautical miles of what we call “Our Bay”, bordered by Puntal El Barranquillo to the east and Punta Papagayo to the southwest. This may also allow us to explore the Los Ajaches coastline with its many coves which form the Bahia de Avila. But don´t forget – this is Nature´s Playground and, unfortunately, there is never any guarantee of any sightings!
Although we have set departure times, we are governed by the weather and the winds in particular, and sometimes it may be necessary for us to delay our start time by up to an hour. Your comfort and safety are the prime factors which determine whether or not we set sail.
